MASTER 1:48 fairings with blast tubes for the P-40 E to N are turned metal parts (6 pieces) for the 12.7 mm Browning machine guns, replacing the plastic parts on the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurate turned metal parts from the manufacturer MASTER in 1:48 scale, representing the fairings with blast tubes for the 12.7 mm Browning machine guns (6 pieces) for models of the P-40 E to N versions. It is not a model of the aircraft but a refining accessory replacing the plastic parts from the base kit.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War deployed on a number of fronts. The versions from the P-40E to the P-40N carried 12.7 mm machine guns in the wings. The blast tubes lead the propellant gases away from the barrels and, together with the fairings, are a fine detail of the leading edge of the wing.
The metal parts separate cleanly from their carrier and are glued with cyanoacrylate into the leading edge of the wing. Metal holds paint better once a base coat has been applied. Fitting fine parts belongs among the last steps of the build.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
