Eduard 1:48 P-400 exhaust stacks is a resin detail set of exhaust manifolds for P-400 models in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the Brassin range by the Czech maker Eduard. It replaces the plastic exhaust manifolds with precisely cast resin parts with faithfully rendered openings. It is intended for P-400 models in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory.
The P-400 was the export designation of the American Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter, delivered to the Allies during the Second World War. The aircraft had an unusual layout with the engine placed behind the pilot. The exhaust manifolds along the sides of the fuselage are among the details that markedly improve the look of a model when they are rendered realistically.
Wash the resin parts free of the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding. Spray the exhausts in burnt metal shades and complete them with pigments for a scorched effect.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
