P-40B Warhawk (Tomahawk IIA) 1:48 is a plastic kit of the early American Curtiss fighter from Trumpeter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Trumpeter captures the early version of the American Curtiss P-40B fighter, designated Tomahawk IIA in British service. The model offers finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit, and the box usually also holds a photo-etched part for the fine elements.
The P-40 was one of the most widespread American fighters of the early Second World War. The P-40B version with the Allison V12 engine and the characteristic radiator under the nose became famous above all with the Flying Tigers volunteer group in China and with the Royal Air Force in the Middle East and in North Africa. A painted shark mouth was its typical decoration.
Glue with thin cement for plastic and attach the fine photo-etched parts with super glue. The camouflage is usually a two-color upper surface with light undersides, and the shark mouth decals stand out on a smooth varnished base. Bring out the panel lines with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
