A propeller with an alignment jig for the P-40B/C Warhawk in 1:48 scale is a resin detail set from the Quickboost (Aires) brand for easy, accurate fitting of the propeller.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed resin propeller that comes with an alignment jig for seating the blades at exactly the right angle. It is NOT an aircraft model but an accessory to the base kit of the American Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter in the B and C versions. The replacement has a more faithful shape and sharper blade edges than the plastic part.
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American fighter of the early Second World War with the Allison V12 engine. The early P-40B and P-40C versions became known, for instance, with the volunteer Flying Tigers group in China. On this type the propeller is a prominent feature of the nose.
Cut the propeller off the casting block, wash it free of mold release agent and use the jig supplied to seat the blades. Glue it with cyanoacrylate. Spray the blades separately and add the warning stripes on the tips.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and, as an aftermarket set, it calls for a more experienced hand. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
