P-47D Thunderbolt Razorback 3D interior decals 1:48 are a set of color 3D decals from Quinta Studio on decal paper for a three-dimensional, ready-colored cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set of color 3D decals from Quinta Studio replaces flat cockpit parts with three-dimensional, pre-colored details printed on backing decal paper. As a rule it contains the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat belts. It is not photo-etch and not resin but decals transferred with water. The set is intended for models of the P-47D Thunderbolt in the Razorback version in 1:48 scale.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was among the heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. The Razorback version has a framed canopy with the spine running smoothly into the fuselage, that is, the configuration before the later bubble canopy. The massive R-2800 radial engine and eight machine guns made it a feared escort and attack machine.
Cut the part from the sheet and immerse it in lukewarm water for about 15 seconds, then slide it off the backing paper into place with tweezers. The part has no adhesive layer of its own; it holds on gloss varnish, so paint the interior first and coat it with gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22). Press it gently into broken-up detail with a cotton swab, and elsewhere a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as their chemistry would attack the printed resin of the part. The whole can be evened out at the end with a suitable clear varnish.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
