The set corresponds to the cockpit of the Republic P-47M Thunderbolt fighter and serves to raise the detail of a plastic kit considerably. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the cockpit tub with more faithfully worked parts, that is, an instrument panel, side consoles, a control stick, a seat and other elements. The package is usually complemented by fine photo-etched parts.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was an American single-seat fighter with a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine and one of the heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. The P-47M version was a high-speed variant of the end of the war with a more powerful engine, intended among other things to intercept fast targets. The cockpit is one of the prominent features of the type.
Wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before gluing it into the fuselage, check the fit with your particular kit. Spray the cockpit with a base color and bring out the details with a dark wash and a dry brush.
The resin set is an accessory for a plastic kit, which is not included in the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
