This set from Eduard holds a 3D printed resin propeller of the Hamilton Standard type with aerodynamic cuffs at the blade roots for a model of the P-51B and P-51C Mustang fighter in 1:48 scale. It is a detail accessory replacing the plastic propeller, not an aircraft kit.
The Hamilton Standard propeller was among the typical equipment of the early Mustangs. The cuffs at the blade roots directed the airflow toward the cooling of the engine. A faithful profile and shape of the blades markedly affect the final look of the model.
The parts are printed directly and go together easily. Separate them carefully from the print supports, clean them up and glue them with a super glue (cyanoacrylate). Knock the surface back slightly to matte before painting.
The accessory comes unassembled and unpainted; the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
