A small but striking accessory: a resin pilot's seat for Mustangs of the B and C versions in 1:48 scale. The PRINT marking means that the part was made by 3D printing, so it has thin walls and sharp edges that injection-molded plastic cannot reach. The numeral in the name refers to a particular version of the seat; Eduard offers further types for this subject as well, so it pays to compare the shape against the documentation of the aircraft you are building.
The P-51B and P-51C were the first Mustangs with the Merlin engine of British design built under license in the United States. It was exactly that change of powerplant that turned an originally average machine into an escort fighter able to go with the bomber formations deep over Germany. The two versions differed only in the factory that built them and still carried the spine behind the cockpit; some aircraft received a bulged canopy in Britain, which improved the pilot's view to the sides.
Take the seat off the print base with a cut, not by snapping, and level the area with fine abrasive paper. Degrease the part before painting. The cockpit interior of American fighters of the day was usually in the interior green shade, and the seat itself tends to be darker; check the exact shade against the aircraft you are modeling. Dry brushing the edges helps draw out the relief, which would otherwise disappear under matte paint.
The accessory is aimed at a build already under way, not at starting from scratch.
