Quinta Studio 1:48 P-51D - 3D-printed color interior on decal paper (smaller variant) is an aftermarket set that improves the cockpit of a P-51D Mustang fighter model without any need to work with photo-etch. Intended for the Tamiya kit.

This set from Quinta Studio brings pre-printed, color 3D detail for the cockpit of P-51D Mustang fighter models in 1:48 scale. The elements are printed on decal paper, so they are applied much like classic waterslide decals, but thanks to the layered 3D printing they look three-dimensional and faithful. This is the smaller (more compact) version of the set, concentrating on the most visible parts of the interior. The set is designed for the Tamiya kit.
The individual parts are released in warm water like decals and placed directly onto the cockpit parts, and for firm seating of the thicker 3D decal it is advisable to use gloss varnish or a water-based glue. A decal softener, on the other hand, has no place here; it would damage the printed resin. The cutting, bending and gluing of fine photo-etched parts thus falls away, which even a less experienced modeler will appreciate. The instrument panel gains legible dials with the effect of glazing.
This is an accessory to a plastic kit, not the model itself. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
