This item is not a kit but a resin accessory from the Czech maker Eduard. It contains replacement exhaust stacks together with an aerodynamic fairing for P-51D Mustang models in 1:48 scale. The resin castings have the mouths of the individual exhausts faithfully drilled out, which plastic parts as a rule cannot manage.
The North American P-51D Mustang was powered by the Packard Merlin V12 engine, whose exhaust stacks emerged along the sides of the forward fuselage. On some of the machines a fairing was fitted over the exhausts to reduce glare for the pilot and to improve the airflow.
Wash the castings free of the mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the exhausts with a dark metal base and build up rusty and burnt shades in layers for a faithful heat discoloration.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The glue, the paints and the kit are not included in the package.
