A resin pilot's seat for the P-51D Mustang in 1:48 scale from RESArm. A detailed 3D-printed replacement for the cockpit seat.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin (3D-printed) detail set, not an aircraft model. It brings a faithfully rendered pilot's seat into the cockpit, with fine texture of the shell and details that a plastic part out of the box usually lacks. It lifts the look of the interior markedly, especially on models with an open canopy.
The North American P-51D Mustang was an American fighter of the Second World War, valued for its long range and its performance at altitude thanks to the Packard Merlin engine. The glazed bubble canopy of the D version reveals the interior well, so the detail of the seat is clearly visible on a finished model.
Wash the part free of mold release, cut it carefully off the casting block and clean it up with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint it with primer and then with the base interior shade; pick the padding and the belts out separately, and a fine wash will add depth.
The set contains only the resin seat. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
