This Quinta Studio accessory concentrates on the inside of the cockpit of the Mustang in the D and K versions. There is no kit in the package; these are fittings for a model under construction. According to the name the elements are three-dimensional and finished in color. On the Mustang that is especially useful: the bubble canopy reveals the inside from every side and an empty cockpit cannot be hidden on it. It is based on the dimensions of the Meng kit.
The North American P-51D is the best-known shape of the Mustang, with its bubble canopy, lowered spine and six heavy machine guns in the wing. A license-built Merlin engine gave it performance at high altitude, and its range was enough to escort bombers deep over the continent. The K version differed from the D mainly in the place of production and in a different propeller. Both shapes were built in their thousands and flew long after the war as well.
First check dry how high the floor sits and how far the canopy frame reaches. Sand the base under the elements, degrease it and let it dry thoroughly. Once the inside is finished, darken the depths gently and lighten the edges, so that the cockpit does not read flat. Fit the clear parts at the very end and protect them from dust, because on this type they are the most in view.
