This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard adds fine exterior details to a plastic model of the twin-engined Northrop P-61 Black Widow night fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory intended to refine the surface of the base model.
The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was an American heavy night fighter of the Second World War period. It was powered by two radial engines, carried a powerful onboard radar and strong gun armament. Its characteristic twin-boom layout makes it an unmistakable type.
The photo-etched parts refine small exterior features such as access panels, grilles and flaps. Separate the parts from the fret with a sharp knife, form the bends with a bending tool or a firm ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the surface before spraying paint.
This is an add-on set, not a kit in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
