The Aires (Quickboost) 1:48 Pe-2 exhaust are resin engine exhausts for a model of the Soviet Petlyakov Pe-2 bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of engine exhausts in 1:48 scale from Aires, the Quickboost range. This is not an airplane model but a detailed replacement for the exhaust pipes of a model of the Soviet Petlyakov Pe-2 bomber. The resin parts tend to have drilled or hollowed outlets, so the exhausts look more faithful than solid plastic castings.
The Petlyakov Pe-2 was a Soviet twin-engine bomber and dive bomber of the Second World War, one of the most widespread Soviet combat aircraft in its class. The rows of exhausts along the sides of the engine nacelles are a conspicuous detail, and one that is often brought out with sooty and rusty hints.
Wash the resin parts free of release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the exhausts in dark metal and rust shades, darken the outlets and bring them out with pigments in burnt shades. Check how they seat on the engine nacelles before you glue them in.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. Paints, glue and the kit itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
