A resin figure of a pilot in 1:48 scale from the production of the Czech manufacturer Plusmodel, tied by theme to the famous American Vought F4U Corsair carrier fighter. The airman in the kit of American naval aviation gives a model scale and turns a kit on its own into a small scene.
The Vought F4U Corsair with its unmistakable bent wing was among the highest performing American carrier fighters of the Second World War and excelled above all in the fighting in the Pacific. The pilots of the Navy and the Marine Corps wore characteristic kit: a khaki flight suit, a life vest, a flying helmet with goggles and a parachute harness. A figure of an airman beside a Corsair thus faithfully evokes the deck of an aircraft carrier or an island airfield in the Pacific.
Wash the resin casting free of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the small lugs off and clean them up. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. When painting with acrylic paints, work from the base tones of the kit through a wash in the folds to fine lightening of the edges. The yellow life vest contrasts beautifully with the dark blue aircraft.
The figure is supplied unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
