This is a resin diorama accessory, not a kit of a vehicle. The model captures the concrete variant of the Czech hedgehog, a static obstacle of crossed beams, in 1:48 scale. It is made by resin 3D printing at the Czech maker Firma49 and is intended to bring dioramas and vignettes to life.

The real subject

Anti-tank hedgehogs were used during the Second World War as static barriers that could be moved quickly. The concrete variant was part, among other things, of the Czechoslovak fortifications, in perimeter as well as interval obstacles. The crossed arms kept tanks and armored vehicles from passing and could be arranged into longer barrier lines.

Use and painting

• Wash the parts with lukewarm water and dish soap and cut off the support blocks
• Glue them with cyanoacrylate
• The look of concrete is brought out by a gray primer, a dry brush and pigments
• It proves its worth as a repeating element in barrier lines
