A set of assemblable metal tracks cast in white metal from the manufacturer Friulmodel in 1:48 scale. The individual links are joined with wire pins into a workable track, which replaces the tracks from the box on models of the German tanks on the common Panzer III and Panzer IV chassis from the years 1943 to 1945. Thanks to its weight the metal track creates a natural sag over the road wheels and a faithful running surface texture even in the smaller scale. It is not a model but a detail accessory for advanced modelers.
The German medium tanks Panzer III and Panzer IV formed the backbone of the armored forces in the Second World War and shared a number of running gear elements. The later types of track from the years 1943 to 1945 match the production changes made to these vehicles. The smaller 1:48 scale calls for extra care in assembling metal tracks.
Clean the small links with a needle file and work under good light, ideally with a magnifier. For joining them, fine pliers, a file and a pin vise for threading the pins through are enough. Fit the track dry and check the sag. Degrease the metal and lay on a primer for metal, and only then paint.
This is a metal detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
