A photo-etched accessory set for the model of the KV-1 tank in German service, in 1:48 scale. Thin metal parts refine the places where plastic is necessarily thicker.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the first years of the war the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank also fell into the hands of the German army, which took the captured machines into its own units. It listed them under the designation Pz.Kpfw. 756(r), where the letter in brackets referred to the Soviet origin of the vehicle. For a modeler it is a rewarding subject: the familiar shape of the hull and the turret in different colors and with different markings from those one is used to on a KV-1.
The photo-etched parts are etched into thin metal sheet. They are used everywhere a plastic part would look coarse, that is, on thin sheet items and small equipment. The set is meant for the KV-1 tank in 1:48 scale.
In 1:48 scale the parts really are small, so have tweezers with a fine point ready and work over a surface from which a part that springs away can be found. Run the bends over a straight edge or in a bender, always with pressure along the whole length at once. Apply super glue in a negligible amount, or it will run over and flood the surrounding detail. Before painting, wash the metal, degrease it and go over it with a base coat. The exact extent of the set and the order of work is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The model of the tank, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
