B-8M1 rocket pods 1:48 (Eduard Brassin) is a set of resin B-8M1 rocket pods for models of Soviet and Russian combat aircraft and helicopters. These are external stores, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Brassin range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains B-8M1 rocket pods in 1:48 scale, complemented by photo-etched parts. It is not an airplane model but an armament accessory that can be hung under the wings or on the pylons of models that carried these stores.
The B-8M1 is a Soviet multi-tube rocket pod for 80 mm unguided rockets. It was carried by a range of aircraft, for example Su and MiG attack aircraft and fighter-bombers as well as Mi combat helicopters. The pods were typically hung in numbers and markedly complete the combat look of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The mouths of the tubes stand out once picked out with a dark wash.
This is an armament accessory, not a standalone airplane model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
