The 1:48 Reggiane Re 2005 Exhausts set from the Czech brand CMK is a resin replacement for the exhaust stubs of the Italian Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario fighter. It is not an airplane model and not a kit, but a small accessory that changes one of the most visible details on the engine section of the fuselage. The manufacturer released it in 2020 and lists it under the part number Q48367.
The Re.2005 Sagittario belonged to the Italian fighters of the so-called Serie 5, which received the license-built German Daimler-Benz DB 605 inverted V12 of about 1475 hp. The machine was built from the autumn of 1942 and only forty-eight had been delivered by the declaration of the armistice in September 1943. It was used above all over Sicily and over Naples and Rome, and some of the pre-series aircraft then flew to Germany. The powerful engine with short exhaust stubs on both sides of the fuselage is a prominent recognition feature of this fighter.
