Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in the early version with the so-called small welded turret, in 1:48 scale from Hobby Boss. The model captures the earlier form of the KV armed with the shorter 76.2 mm gun. The package contains a fret of photo-etched parts and decals with Soviet army markings; check the particular number of parts and schemes against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank named after Marshal Kliment Voroshilov. At the beginning of the war it shocked with its heavy armor, which the ordinary German anti-tank guns could penetrate only with difficulty. The early machines carried an angular welded turret with the shorter gun; they were powered by the same V-2 diesel engine as the T-34. At the price of great weight and a strained transmission, the KV-1 gave extraordinary resilience in 1941.
Assemble and paint the running gear with its characteristic small road wheels before you close up the hull. Glue with thin cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. After spraying the protective green, apply a gloss coat under the decals and build the weathering with dark washes into the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the wide tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
