A set of painting masks in kabuki tape from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the American Grumman S-2 Tracker carrier-based anti-submarine aircraft (the E and F versions) in 1:48 scale. The self-adhesive masks are machine-cut for the extensive cockpit glazing and for the wheel discs, so that spraying gives you crisp, clean transitions of color. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for painting; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Grumman S-2 Tracker was an American carrier-based twin-engined piston aircraft intended for hunting and fighting submarines. The S-2E and S-2F versions were among the later forms with improved equipment. The glazed front of the cockpit is a crucial area for masking.
Degrease the glazing and transfer the masks with tweezers. Press them carefully against the edges of the frames, so that paint cannot run underneath. On an expansive cockpit work in sections and apply the paint in thin coats.
This is an accessory for masking while painting, not a model. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
