This resin detail set contains faithfully cast exhausts for the Curtiss SB2C-1 Helldiver carrier dive bomber in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for a kit that replaces the simplified plastic exhausts with parts with hollow openings. It is not a standalone aircraft model.
The SB2C Helldiver is an American carrier dive bomber of the Second World War powered by a radial engine. The SB2C-1 version was one of the early production variants. The exhausts of a radial engine are among the features that base kits render in a simplified way.
Wash the parts to remove mold release, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The exhausts come into their own once painted in metallic and rust shades with the heat-stressed areas lightly brought out.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
