A set of fine photo-etched parts from the Czech maker Hauler aimed at the exterior details of a model of the German Sd.Kfz.250/3 light half-track in 1:48 scale. It replaces coarse plastic items such as the fenders, grab handles, tool brackets and small fittings. It is an aftermarket accessory, not a model in its own right. The fret is cut for the Tamiya kit.
The Sd.Kfz.250/3 was the radio (signals) version of the light German Sd.Kfz.250 half-track carrier, with an open-topped armored hull and conspicuous frame antennas. It served as a command and signals vehicle; exterior details such as the tool brackets and the fenders are clearly visible and come out thick in plastic.
The photo-etched parts are separated with a sharp knife, bent over an edge or in a bender and bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the parts before painting and spray them with a primer; the fine items come off well after a wash and a light lift of the edges.
This is a detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
