A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This set of finely cast resin sharpens up the engine cowling and the exhausts of the British Supermarine Seafire FR.46/47 carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. These late versions were powered by the potent Rolls-Royce Griffon engine with its characteristic shape of nose and exhaust manifolds, which the casting captures more accurately than the parts from the box. The part is meant for more advanced modelers with experience of resin.
The engine cowling sets the character of the nose, and the exhaust manifolds are permanently in view, so how they are rendered strongly affects the overall impression. The resin casting offers the correct shape of the cover as well as exhausts with hollowed-out mouths that you do not have to drill. Once painted in metallic and rusty shades the nose looks faithful and mechanical.
