Eduard 1:48 Seatbelts RAF WWII is a color photo-etched set of seat belts for the cockpits of British aircraft of the Second World War. This is a detail accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard faithfully imitates the Sutton type harness used by the crews of the aircraft of the Royal Air Force in the Second World War. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for improving the interior of a cockpit. The parts are pre-printed in several colors, so the buckles and the straps look realistic without any painting at all.
The belts supplied in basic kits tend to be flat and without detail, or missing altogether. Color photo-etch replaces them with fine straps that can be shaped naturally and left to hang over the seat. The pattern matches the British standard, so it suits a wide range of models of RAF fighters and other aircraft of this period.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface. Shape the straps slowly so that they look like slack fabric. The pre-printed belts do not need painting; a fine wash in the folds deepens the impression of depth further. They are glued with a self-adhesive layer or a drop of cyanoacrylate.
This is a photo-etched detail accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
