1:48 SMB-2 Super Mystere Israeli AF SPACE

Eduard SPACE, cockpit of the Super Mystère B.2, Israeli colors (1:48)

The SPACE set from Eduard joins two technologies in one package: three-dimensionally shaped 3D decals on backing paper and pre-colored photo-etched steel parts. It brings a raised instrument panel, side panels and seat belts to the cockpit of the Super Mystère B.2 fighter as equipped by the Israeli Air Force. It is not a kit and not a model in its own right; it is a detail set that replaces the flat plastic parts of a cockpit and markedly raises the realism of the interior.

Use

• The 3D decals have no adhesive layer of their own: moisten only the backing paper with a damp sponge and a drop of dish soap, lift the element off with tweezers, seat it on the cockpit part and fix it with PVA glue (white glue)
• the steel photo-etched belts are shaped and glued with cyanoacrylate glue; the manufacturer does not recommend it on the 3D decals
• degrease the surface, let the decal dry properly and go over it with matte varnish if needed; do not use a decal softener, as the chemicals attack the printed resin

Who the set is for

• modelers who want a first-rate cockpit without slow hand painting
• builders of Israeli combat and fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale
• more experienced and moderately advanced builders alike, as working with 3D decals is easy

The set contains supplementary cockpit parts only. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
