Eduard Brassin Sopwith Camel Comic Lewis guns, 3D printed, 1:48 is a 3D-printed replacement set of the upper guns for models of the Sopwith Camel Comic biplane. A detail accessory, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Brassin range by the Czech maker Eduard brings 3D-printed resin Lewis guns on a Foster mounting above the upper wing for models of the Sopwith Camel Comic night biplane in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory that replaces the guns and their mounting from the basic kit.
Direct 3D printing captures the fine structure of the gun and of its cooling jacket far more faithfully than injection-molded plastic. The parts are designed as a direct replacement with no modification needed and bring out better the characteristic armament above the wing that the night Camels used against airships.
Take the parts carefully off the print supports and sand the areas down with your airways protected. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A primer is recommended, then an airbrush and detail brought out with a brush; the metal parts come into their own with a dark metallic shade and light weathering.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
