The Sopwith Camel was a British single-seat fighter deployed from 1917. It got its nickname from the characteristic hump of the machine gun cover ahead of the cockpit. Structurally it had most of its mass concentrated in the forward fuselage, which gave it exceptional agility and at the same time a reputation as a machine that forgives few mistakes. The open cockpit with a simple instrument panel is typical of this whole generation of aircraft.
Try the part dry before building — sometimes part of the original plastic from the kit has to be sanded or cut away. Wash the resin and printed parts first in lukewarm soapy water so that no mold release residue is left on them. Cut the casting block off with a saw and do not break it off. It is bonded with super glue. The colored surface of the dials is not painted over; if you want a glazed effect, put a drop of gloss varnish or clear resin on the dials. Fit the panel before you close up the fuselage and put the canopy on.
