Omask 1:48 Spitfire Mk.I - masks for the camouflage fields, variant H is a set of pre-cut masks for spraying the camouflage pattern on a Spitfire Mk.I model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
Pre-cut self-adhesive masks in 1:48 scale intended for spraying the camouflage fields on a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I. Variant H has a shape of fields of its own, different from the other letters in the same range.
The quality of sprayed camouflage shows on the edge. Paint always gets under the mask wherever the mask has not bedded down: over an engraved line, over a rivet head or over a cast transition on the leading edge. A double precaution helps. Before spraying, press the edge of the mask down firmly with a fingernail or a wooden stick, and make the first pass light, just enough for the paint to seal the edge. Only then spray the full layer. Any bleeding can be corrected with a fine brush once the mask is removed, but it is extra work.
For a modeler building the Spitfire Mk.I in 1:48 scale who does not get on with improvised masking using string, paper or modeling clay and wants a pattern matching one particular variant. It calls for no special experience, only patience in sticking it down and a clean, cured base.
The package contains masks only. Paints, clear coat and the model are not part of it.
