Die-cut self-adhesive Peewit painting masks for the model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:48 scale. They cover the frames of the canopy glazing during spraying. It is not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks from Peewit intended for painting the plastic model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a finished model: these are painting masks that cover the frames of the canopy glazing and the areas meant to stay clear reliably while the paint is sprayed. The masks are shaped to fit one specific kit of this aircraft in this scale.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was a British single-seat fighter and one of the most successful versions of the whole line. It came about as a quick answer to the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 and received the more powerful two-stage supercharged Rolls-Royce Merlin 60 series engine. The combination of a proven airframe with an elliptical wing and a stronger engine made it an even match in the second half of the war.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
