This is a resin detail set that opens up the wing armament bay on the plastic kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in the e armament version. The parts are cast with accurate inner definition, gun mountings and ammunition, which lets you build the model with the gun bay uncovered. The parts match the e wing in particular, whose armament fit differs from the earlier arrangements.
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-engine fighter of the Second World War with its characteristic elliptical wing. The Mk.IX was among the most successful variants and was built with several armament arrangements. The e wing carried a different combination of guns from the older versions.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with your airways protected. An opening has to be cut in the wing for the uncovered bay; paint the inside carefully and bring it out with a wash before closing it up.
