Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Eduard, aimed at the Mk.Vc version with the universal c-type wing. The box contains clear cockpit parts and decals for several schemes. Eduard offers this subject in several editions (ProfiPACK with photo-etch and masks, for instance), so the accessories differ from one release to another; follow the information from the manufacturer.
The Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most widespread forms of the famous British fighter, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The Mk.Vc version received the so-called universal c wing, which allowed various combinations of armament, machine guns as well as cannons. The Mk.V machines served over Europe, in the Mediterranean and in North Africa (in tropical trim with a dust filter under the engine) and were among the mainstays of Allied aviation in the years 1941 to 1943.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic and sand the fuselage joints carefully. The cockpit comes into its own with fine shading of the instruments and taut belts; mask the glazing with templates and fit it only after the frames have been painted. Apply a primer before painting. British aircraft camouflage comes out well with an airbrush and discreet shading of the panels; apply the decals onto a gloss coat and seal them with a matte overcoat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
