Eduard 1:48 Spitfire Mk.Vc landing flaps is a set of photo-etched parts for a faithful rendition of the landing flaps of the model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc fighter. The model itself is not included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a faithful rendition of the landing flaps of the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:48 scale. The thin metal parts let the flaps be modeled as separate, finely structured faces, or shown lowered, which cannot be done in plastic. It is not a model of an airplane but an accessory for advanced detailing; the basic kit has to be bought separately.
The Supermarine Spitfire is a British fighter and one of the symbols of the Second World War. The Mk.Vc version had the universal C wing, able to carry various combinations of armament, and became one of the most widely built variants. The landing flaps on the trailing edge of the wing were operated pneumatically on the Spitfire.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them in a metal bending tool. They are glued with super glue, or with epoxy. Degrease the metal before painting and pull a primer over it.
This is a set of photo-etched parts, not a model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
