An injection-molded plastic kit of the tropical version of the famous British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:48 scale from the Czech company Eduard, in the premium ProfiPACK edition. That edition adds colored photo-etched parts, painting masks, and a rich decal sheet with several marking options to the fine mold. The tropical version is distinguished by a large Vokes dust filter under the nose.
The Supermarine Spitfire was one of the most successful fighters of the Second World War. The Mk.Vc version had a universal wing allowing different armament combinations. The tropical (Trop) modification, with a dust filter under the engine, protected the powerplant in the conditions of North Africa and the Mediterranean, where these aircraft served with the RAF and Allied air forces.
Glue the parts with liquid plastic cement, and the colored photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage, and mask the glazing with the included or your own masks. The bulky Vokes filter is a prominent feature of the nose. Apply desert and Mediterranean camouflage schemes with an airbrush and finish with light weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
