This resin set precisely casts the flare and countermeasure dispensers for a Su-22M4 model in 1:48 scale. It is a detail accessory for a kit, not a stand-alone aircraft model. The castings have crisper edges and a finer detail than parts from an ordinary injection mold.
The Su-22M4 is the export version of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-17 fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry wing. The countermeasures in the form of flare dispensers served as passive protection against infrared-guided missiles. The aircraft was widely used by a number of air forces of the period.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, then cut them off the casting blocks and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Recommended for modelers with experience of resin accessories.
The detail accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
