A resin detail part in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Aires, the Quickboost range. This is not an airplane kit but a set of ejection seats with faithfully cast seat belts that markedly brings the interior of the tandem cockpit to life. The set is meant to be built into the matching plastic model.
The Sukhoi Su-27UB is the two-seat combat trainer version of the twin-engine Su-27 fighter of the Flanker family. Compared with the single-seat version it has a cockpit for two crew members seated one behind the other. The ejection seats provide for an emergency escape from the machine, and the pilots are secured on them by a set of belts.
First wash the mold release residue off the part, carefully cut off the casting block and bond it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Try the fit dry before gluing and adjust the surrounding plastic if needed. Spray the surface to match the rest of the model so that the part blends into the overall finish.
