SuE / SEM Super Etendard (Modernise) BASIC - painting masks 1:48 (New Ware)

The set from New Ware contains precisely cut self-adhesive masks made of thin kabuki (washi) paper. The BASIC version covers the cockpit glazing and, where applicable, the wheel discs of a model of the French Dassault Super Étendard carrier fighter, including the modernized SEM version.

The real subject

The Dassault Super Étendard was a French single-seat carrier-borne attack aircraft. The modernized SEM variant (Super Étendard Modernisé) received improved avionics and a longer service life aboard French aircraft carriers. The type became known for its use of anti-ship missiles.

Usage tips

  • Wash and degrease the glazing before masking.
  • Transfer the parts to the model with the tip of a scalpel or with tweezers.
  • Press the edges of the masks down so that paint cannot creep under them.
