An aftermarket detail accessory from the manufacturer MASTER, not a kit. It is a turned brass pitot tube for a model of the Sukhoi Su-33 (Flanker D) carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The metal part replaces the thin and easily broken plastic pitot tube from the original kit.
The forward pitot tube is one of the most exposed and most fragile parts of a model. The brass version has a correctly thin, sharp profile, does not deform and stands up to ordinary handling and carrying of the model. The resulting look is markedly more realistic than with plastic.
Cut off the plastic pitot tube, drill a hole of the matching diameter in the nose and glue the brass part in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Deburr and degrease the part before gluing. The work suits more advanced modelers; brass takes a primer and paint well.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
