A detailed resin set from Aires intended to improve the cockpit of a model of the French carrier-based Super Etendard strike aircraft in the modernized SEM version, in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a more faithful one. The set usually combines cast resin, photo-etched parts and a pre-printed film with the instruments. The parts have to be cut out, cleaned up, painted and fitted.
The set raises the level of detail in the cockpit: the instrument panel, the side consoles, the ejection seat with belts and the controls. Particularly suitable when building with the canopy open.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks with a saw. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and bend the photo-etched parts over an edge. We recommend painting the cockpit with an airbrush, picking out the instruments and setting the film behind the glazing.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
