Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech maker Hauler replaces the coarse plastic screens over the engine compartment of the Soviet T-34 medium tank in 1:48 scale with fine metal parts. It is an aftermarket accessory for a build, not a model in its own right.
The T-34 was the key Soviet medium tank of the Second World War, famous for its combination of sloped armor, wide tracks and artillery firepower. The screens over the cooling and engine compartment are a visually prominent detail that comes out thick and flat in plastic.
The original plastic screens are cut away carefully and replaced with the photo-etched parts. These are separated with a sharp knife and, if need be, formed lightly into a slight curve. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Before clear-coating, degrease the parts and spray them with a primer so that the paint holds; the fine perforation of the screen comes off nicely once a wash has been applied.
This is a detail accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
