Tiger I Early Production 1:48 (Tamiya) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the early version of the German heavy tank in the configuration for the Eastern Front.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:48 scale from the Japanese maker Tamiya captures the early production version of the German Tiger I heavy tank in the configuration for the Eastern Front. The model offers the precise fidelity of shape typical of Tamiya, a detailed running gear and turret and decals for two machines used in the east.
The Tiger I was among the most feared heavy tanks of the Second World War. The early production machines from the turn of 1942 and 1943 were distinguished by characteristic features of the hull and the turret and were used, among other places, on the Eastern Front, where their powerful gun and armor were a serious threat. The early versions are especially popular among modelers.
Paint the running gear and the interior parts before the hull is closed up. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic, unify the surface with a primer and apply the base shade with an airbrush. The Tiger comes into its own with weathering: washes bring out the rivets and the details, while dust and mud pigments on the suspension give the vehicle a realistic field look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
