It is not a model of an aircraft but a stand-alone small kit of airfield equipment that will splendidly liven a scene with a modern aircraft up; on the parking apron by American machines a fire extinguisher is part of the obligatory equipment.
Wheeled Tri-Max fire extinguishers are used by the American air forces and at airfields for an immediate response to a fire on the apron or during engine starts. The unit works with compressed air and foam, so it can knock burning fuel down quickly before the heavy fire fighting vehicles arrive. Its striking pressure cylinder on a wheeled frame with a hose and a nozzle is characteristic.
Wash the resin castings free of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up with fine abrasive paper, with protection for your airways. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Units of this type tend to be strikingly red or silver; a fine wash and chipping of the edges will give a credible working look. Placed beside a model of an aircraft in 1:48 it suggests the scale of the whole scene at once.
