The 1:48 set of triple radial rows of 3D rivets from Eduard serves to add raised riveting to the curved surfaces of a model.

A universally usable accessory which, according to the name, offers three parallel rows of rivets running along an arc. These are not parts for one particular aircraft: you lay the set out wherever you need it on your own subject. The rivets have a three-dimensional, that is a raised shape, so once varnished they cast a shadow of their own and the surface of the model stops reading as a smooth plane.
1:48 is the most widespread aircraft scale and an enormous number of toolings of various ages fall into it. On older injection kits the riveting tends to be suggested only by a groove or is missing entirely, while on newer ones it is handled by engraving. An accessory with raised heads is thus the simplest way to bring such a model into line with reality without reaching for a riveting wheel and risking uneven spacing.
Before you start, lay out the position of the rows with a thin line and prepare a smooth, glossy base. Transfer the individual sections in short pieces; a long strip is harder to straighten and tends to ripple. Apply the softener sparingly and let it work on its own; do not press on the row until it has dried. A fixed surface will then take the classic picking out of panel lines as well.
