An accessory set of the UB-32A-24 rocket pod for models in 1:48 scale. It refines the rendering of the external armament.
Responsibility details are not available.
The UB-32 is a Soviet rocket pod for 57 mm unguided rockets. The designation matches the number of tubes; the pod carries thirty-two of them. It was hung on the underwing pylons of combat aircraft and helicopters of Soviet design and was among the most frequently seen armament for attacks on ground targets. The letters and numbers added to the designation distinguish the individual versions of the pod.
An accessory set of external armament for models in 1:48 scale. It replaces the rocket pods from the base kit, which tend to be rendered in a simplified way, above all as regards the depth of the tubes and the division of the face of the pod. External armament is meanwhile one of the first places the eye goes on a finished aircraft.
The parts are not polystyrene, so glue them with super glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest with fine abrasive paper. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. The faces of the tubes come out when a dark wash is run into them once the paint is dry and the excess is wiped away. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the particular assembly procedure and for the placement on the pylon. Offer the parts up dry beforehand so that you know how they will sit on the pylon.
The set suits modelers who are building the combat version of an aircraft or helicopter of Soviet design and want the external stores to be of the same quality as the rest of the model. Working with small parts calls for tweezers and patience. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
