A model of the universal trailer of the US Army of the Second World War, the Mk. 2 form, in 1:48 scale. It is supplied for assembly and painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
The universal trailer was a common piece of equipment in the US Army during the Second World War. It was towed behind a light cross-country vehicle and carried the load that no longer fitted into the vehicle: tools, fuel, ammunition or personal gear. The Mk. 2 form designates one of the variants of this trailer. It is exactly such small things that give a scene credibility, because a vehicle on its own with no load looks empty.
Parts for assembling a model of the trailer in 1:48 scale. The number of parts, the material they are made of and the sequence of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The model is standalone, so it is not tied to a particular kit of a vehicle and can be built as an accessory to any scene in the same scale.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the mating surfaces stay flat. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts you have in hand. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and apply a base coat. American equipment of this period is most often built in a uniform olive shade; base the particular choice on photographs and on the rest of the scene, so that the trailer and the towing vehicle match. Dusting of the underside and wear on the edges bring a trailer to life at once.
For modelers who build scenes in 1:48 scale and are looking for an accessory to vehicles, to equipment or to an airfield scene.
The towing vehicle, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
