U.S. jerrycans 1:48 from the Czech maker Hauler are an accessory set of fuel and water containers for models of Allied vehicles and for dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory set of American jerrycans in 1:48 scale. This is not a vehicle kit but small equipment that mounts on the cargo bed or the fenders, or is simply placed freely around a diorama. The set is not tied to one particular model; it suits Allied vehicles as well as figure scenes in the same scale.
Jerrycans were among the most common items of equipment on combat and supply vehicles alike. The American army used containers of five gallons, that is roughly nineteen liters, for fuel as well as for drinking water. Vehicles carried them by the dozen, strapped into brackets or simply tied on, and period photographs show how strongly they shape the overall impression of a truck.
Small containers bring a model to life, but only when they do not look like clean new products. Paint them in a base shade and add places worn through to bare metal, rusty rims around the caps and traces of spilled fuel. In a group it is worth varying the shades slightly so that the jerrycans do not look like a single casting. Plan where they go on the vehicle by the crew's logic, that is, where they are easy to reach and do not get in the way.
This is an accessory, not a kit in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
