A Big Ed package with add-on sets for a model of the Vought F4U-1A Corsair carrier fighter in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Vought F4U Corsair is among the best known American carrier fighters of the Second World War. It is recognizable at first glance by its inverted gull wing, which let the main landing gear be short and strong under a large propeller, and by its long nose with a radial engine. The designation F4U-1A covers the machines with a raised seat and a revised canopy that improved the pilot's view, above all when landing on a deck. The aircraft served as a fighter and as an attack machine alike.
Big Ed brings several add-on sets for one kit together in a single box, so they do not have to be tracked down one by one. It covers more places on a model at once than a single small set could. Which sets the package contains and which kit in 1:48 scale it is cut for are given by the manufacturer in the listing on the box and in the enclosed instructions; check that before you buy.
First go through all the enclosed instructions and compare them with the kit instructions, because some of the parts are fitted while the model is still apart. So finish the cockpit and the other inner spaces before you close the fuselage. Dry-fit every part first; with accessories a piece of plastic often has to be removed or thinned first. Pick the small parts up with tweezers over a tray, not over a carpet. Lay the paint on in thin coats so that it does not swamp the fine pattern of the accessories.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
