A set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in 1:48 scale for a model of the British Supermarine Walrus Mk. I amphibian aircraft. The masks are precisely die-cut from kabuki masking tape and serve for clean spraying of the cockpit glazing and the edges of the wheels. It is not a kit but an accessory for masking.
The Walrus was an amphibian biplane from the Supermarine company with a pusher propeller, used by the Royal Navy for reconnaissance and above all for rescuing downed airmen at sea. It was launched by catapult from surface ships and also operated from coastal bases, and thanks to its sturdy structure it became one of the best-known rescue aircraft of the Second World War.
The extensive glazing of the Walrus greenhouse canopy is an ideal candidate for masking with stencils. Stick the mask onto a degreased surface, press it against the frames and apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. You will manage the subdivided frames faster and more cleanly than with a brush by hand.
This is an accessory (painting masks), not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
