The Westland Wessex was a British multi-purpose helicopter built under license from the American Sikorsky S-58, but with a British turbine powerplant. You will recognize it easily by its high-set cockpit. The Wessex proved itself in the tactical transport of troops, ammunition and supplies; among other places it was used during the Falklands War in the South Atlantic in 1982. The helicopter served with the British armed forces for many years in a range of roles.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic, and attach the fine photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. Paint and highlight the rich cabin interior before you close the fuselage, and mask the glazing during spraying. Apply a primer, put the paints on with an airbrush, place the decals over a gloss coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash. Attach the rotor blades at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
